Studio / Sound practice
Making feeling audible.
My production practice brings musical curiosity and emotional intention into the same room. I work through rhythm, arrangement, sonic texture, and space to discover what a piece of music is trying to communicate.
Composition & rhythm
Exploring hip-hop and jazz-informed rhythmic ideas, repetition, groove, contrast, and musical structure. I am developing a more intentional understanding of the technical decisions behind my instincts.
Arrangement & atmosphere
Considering how layers enter and leave, how a track breathes, and how harmonic, melodic, and textural elements create a sense of place.
Sound design & storytelling
Using ambience, sonic perspective, recorded voices, and experimental textures to support the emotional world of a project.
My process
Listen. Begin with references, feelings, and the story or question behind a piece.
Experiment. Sketch rhythmic and sonic ideas without requiring every first attempt to be polished.
Study. Examine the musical theory and production techniques that explain—or challenge—what I hear.
Refine. Make deliberate decisions about arrangement, balance, movement, and the listener's experience.
Selected listening
Hear these approaches across The Love For Denim, Rushen, and Imperfect Tape. The recordings are part of an evolving practice, not a claim that every experiment has reached its final form.
